December 1 – 12, 2018
On each of the first twelve days of December, we are featuring one of our handmade German holidays treats. Buy that day’s treat at a discounted price! Buy just one cookie (or piece) of that day’s treat! It’s a great way to get to know our authentic, delicious, selection of German Christmas cookies.

Christmas Market
Christmas Market Check out our model Christmas Market outside in the beer garden, then come inside our banquet space for a real Christmas market! Local artists, hand-made crafts and products including fiber arts, jewelry, jams & jellies, soaps and lotions, cookies & bread, books, candles and more! You're sure to find an affordable treasure for the perfect gift!

from 12:00 – 6:00 pm

Springerle demonstrations
at 3:00 p.m. each day!

Of course, the Black Forest Inn will be selling stuff too - t-shirts, mugs, gift certificates, coffee beans, mustard, cookies, marzipan and anything else you can think of to give as a gift!

12 Days of Christmas (Cookies)
We make a variety of traditional German cookies for the holidays, including Lebkuchen, Springerle, Pfeffernüsse and Stollen. You won't find better handmade cookies anywhere! Starting December 1st, we will feature each of the holiday treats we make at the restaurant. There may be samples or demonstrations. And... that day's featured cookie will be available for purchase at a special price. (more details below)

Spirit of Giving
Fridays in December are days of giving at the Black Forest Inn. Join us each Friday, as - with your help - we make charitable donations to a few causes and organizations that work with immigrants in our community. We will be donating 20% of our food sales on those days - so, the more you eat, the more money they get!

December 21: Immigrant Law Center of MN

Warm Up Wednesdays and Fire Pit Sundays!
On Wednesdays and Sundays we will light up the fire pit out in the beer garden! You might need something more to warm your hands, though. Get $1 off a hot drink and enjoy the beer garden in the winter!

Holiday Meals To Go
Complete meals for groups that you can pick up at your convenience! We are offering seasonal specialties like Goose, as well as Black Forest favorites like Rouladen, Roast Pork and Bratwurst. Meals include bread, side dishes and dessert. We'll have everything ready for you to pick up before your party!

Native American Community Development Institute Our work is founded on the belief that all American Indian people have a place, purpose and a future strengthened by sustainable community development. NACDI initiates projects that benefit the Native community, often in partnership with other Indigenous-led organizations. Their work includes the All My Relations Art Gallery, Pow Wow Grounds coffee shop, Make Voting a Tradition, Four Sisters Indigenous Farmers Market, leadership training, cultural events and, most recently, coordinating partner organizations in response to the Wall of Forgotten Natives homeless encampment.
